1. FEED MILL
PIG FEED
Pig’s compound feed, produced from Betagro Feed Mill Company is highly nutritious for pig maturity.
Feed provides much needed nutrient for a fast natural growth.
Pigs are checked thoroughly, so that no zoonosis is developed.
2. PARENT
PIG BREED
Betagro uses primarily 3 breeds of Pig; Large White, Lanrace, and Durox.
Each breed is carefully chosen to best withstand Thailand’s tropical conditions. This ensures high pig mortality rate and therefore happy pig.
Pigs expressing desirable characteristics and behavior are selected as a breeder; this ensures that future pig generations are strong and well adapted to the tropical environment of Thailand.
3. FARM
All farms use Evaporative Cooling System and are in compliance with the GAP standard and are certified by Department of Livestock Development (DLD).
Pigs from every farm pass the β-agonist and Sulfamethazine testing before being approved for transporting to Slaughterhouse.

4. TRANSPORTATION
Pigs are placed on the trucks which promptly deliver the pigs without any delays. The minimum allowance space on the truck per each pig meets the regulation. This is to ensure pigs are handled properly and to minimize the stress to the pigs.
All trucks have GPS system which can be tracked the transportation route for Biosecurity and Animal Welfare purpose.
5. SLAUGHTERHOUSE
Before
Prior to slaughter, pigs are placed in lairages (resting area) for a minimum of 2 hours but not exceed 4 hours in accordance with the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) standard. This allows pigs to relax from their trip.
Environment is adjusted for comfort if temperature exceeds a set standard. Suitable drinking water is available to the pigs at all time of resting.
100% pigs are inspected for the Ante-mortem Inspection before slaughter. This is to ensure only healthy and normal pigs are slaughtered.
After
FOOD SAFETY
All pigs are inspected for Post-mortem after slaughter to ensure that the carcasses are wholesome and not adulterated.
Meat is thoroughly cleaned for a hygienic result and reduce microorganism.
All products leaving the manufacture are gone through the metal detection and are carefully inspected to ensure that no harm comes to consumers.

6. FURTHER PROCESSING
PRODUCT TYPE
Products are primed to eat/reheat and cook, each with its own unique authentic scents.
TEMPERATURE (SAFE)
Pork is cooked to achieve a safety core temperature in order to eliminate any risk of pathogen.
COOLING TIME/METHOD
Post-cooked products are rapidly frozen in a blast freeze. This is to ensure that there is no microorganism growth.
