Much of this reminds me of when we lived in the mining community of Yekepa in Liberia. Back then LAMCO (Liberian American Swedish Minerals Company) ran the operation. As a young lad I got to take occasional field trips to the mines. I think hematite was primarily what was extracted. It was then crushed loaded onto railcars and delivered 240 km to the port of Buchanan. While there it went through flotation, grinding and pelletizing. It was then loaded onto waiting ships for export. Thx 4 posting
