It’s time for you and your manager to review your accomplishments up to mid-year and revisit what needs to be achieved by year end. We encourage you to engage in a meaningful conversation with your manager sharing your contributions, key learnings and discussing development needs. Expect to receive open, honest feedback from your manager regarding in-year performance and your impact through the lens of “what is tracking well” and “what needs greater focus”.
These insights will get captured in the newly introduced "Mid Year Summary" tab in your PDR document which helps in providing context and structure to the conversation.
Key changes put in place this year to simplify the Mid-Year review process are:
1. Self-Assessment is Optional. Providing your comments may help your manager in forming a more informed view, however, is not mandatory
2. Filling in the Mid-Year Review Summary is mandatory for Managers. Reviewing other aspects i.e. Business & Development objectives are optional
3. Focus of the Mid-Year Review is on the quality of the conversation enabling better work performance, shaping future expectations
Completion date for reviews including feedback conversations by your line manager is 15 July 2016.
