The test itself required a whole day, and consisted of preparing the setup at the right tilted
angle of the dryer, and having fixed the thermocouples on their respective points the doors
were sealed to minimize leakage. The readings were taken at hourly intervals. The weights of
the waste sphere specimens were measured using a digital balance with accuracy up to 0.1 g. At
the end of the drying test specimens were tested for their suitability as animal feed. These tests
were performed by the staff of the Department of Animal Production, in the Faculty of
Agriculture at the University of Jordan.
