A total of 200 seeds in four replicates (50 seeds/replicate) each
were sown between two germination papers and incubated in a
seed germinator (SANCO, India) in dark at constant 25
◦
C temperature. Seeds were considered germinated when at least 2 mm long
radicle protruded through the seed coat. The final germination percentage was calculated on the 7th day of planting the seeds
