Recently Yi et al. [16] reported the high oxidation ability of
Ag3PO4, with which the quantum yield of oxygen gas
generation from water splitting was nearly 90% under
visible-light irradiation.Ag3PO4 (indirect band gap of
2.36 eV as well as adirect band gap of 2.43eV) [16,17] can
absorb solar energy with a wavelength shorter than530nm
and has been recognized as one of the most efficient visible-
light-driven photocatalysts because of its excellent photo oxidative capabilities for organic dye decomposition and O2
evolution from water undervisible-light irradiation [16].
