recognized cases associated with these organisms, in part due to improved molecular diagnostic assays (Gomes Neto et al., 2012). Mycoplasma flocculare is also recognized to be present in pig populations, but knowledge regarding its prevalence or disease potential is lacking (Thacker and Minion, 2012). The primary interest in M. flocculare is for its potential to induce cross-reacting antibodies to M. hyopneumoniae (Bereiter et al., 1990)
