Danis chose to use these operating systems for purchasing functionality and to integrate to JDE
using a "thin interface" mandate to achieve common enterprise needs.
"The operating systems,
Crunchtime and AMOS,
were not designed specifically for integrated supply -chain needs,
but they work well enough to fulfill basic needs.
Integrating selectively and with minimum data flows will provide the functions we need across the supply chain with
the lowest risk," said Danis.
The transparency provided by the combined
supply -chain
projects would give RCCL greater control of
shipboard inventory, (food)
production control, usage and
waste control, and
supplier pricing
leverage.
