Topics covered over the course of the 12 weeks were: socialisation to the CBT model; identification of coping strategies; mindfulness; relaxation techniques; behavioural experiments; and completion of thought diaries (encompassing identification of thinking errors, techniques for identification of hot thoughts and developing balanced thinking). Later sessions focused on the identification of early warning signs.Participants were encouraged to practise skills learned with their care coordinators. Care coordinators’ learning was addressed directly in session four, when they were invited to attend to learn from participants about the model and how to use thought diaries.
