The industrial Revolution began under the Georges(King George II, III and IV) and continued under Queen Victoria. Victoria was queen for sixty-four years, from the age of eighteen. She and her husband, Albert Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, understood the importance of industry. In 1851 Albert organised the Great Exhibition in London, to show the world the wonderful things made in Britain. There is a direct line from Victoria and Albert (and their nine children) to today's Royal family.
