Further, this study did not disaggregate
findings by regions or countries of origin.
We also faced difficulty in recruiting women. This
challenge calls for further exploration of different
strategies to recruit African-born women in HBV
research and future interventions. Additionally, all
interviews were conducted in English. Although
interviewers also were fluent in French, all participants
felt comfortable conversing in English. The
availability of only English and French interviewers
also may have limited the participation of African
immigrants who do not speak English or French.
