In I545 King P’rajai was called upon to intervene in the affairs of Chiengmai. The history of the northern Kingdom for some year previous to this had been very troubled. In I538 King Muang Kesa, the I5th King of Chiengmai, was deposed by his son, T’ai Sai K’am. The latter reigned until I543’ when a rebellion broke out,caused by his cruelty and misgovernment. He was killed, and King Muang Kesa was restored.
