1) Data acquisition module
The module acquires kinds of ship status parameters and
others data sources including the ship integrated cabin
monitoring system, the additional sensor group of the cabin as
well as the BIT system. The cabin sensor group acquires
massive status parameters such as the diesel engine or
generator instantaneous speed, the oil or fuel oil temperature
and pressure, the gearbox vibration signal and the thermal
parameters about diesel engine.
2) Data processing module
Through the data conversion and fusion, the data
information is processed into an effective form and the follow-
up member may be dealt with convenient. The output of the
module including kinds of simplified data, compressed data,
filtered data, spectral data as well as other characteristic data.
Meanwhile, the collected data including occurrence time,
location, effects, failure mode, type, cause and others typical
records are stored in the maintenance database for backup.
3) Condition monitoring module
After data analysis about the equipment status parameters,
it extracts the corresponding characteristic parameters, which
will be compared with the predetermined failure criterion in
order to estimate the real-time status. Moreover, it takes fault
alarm when the equipment failure occurrence [4, 15].
4) Health assessment module
Combined with ship historical data from the maintenance
database, it assesses the health status of the monitoring target,
