Dear International Students,
This is the International Center with an important message for all current international students.
During April-May of each year, Ritsumeikan University confirms the type and validity period of all international students' Status of Residence. We are required to collect this information and report to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT/Monbukagakusho).
Therefore, we request all international students to submit their proof of status of residence as below:
What:
A copy of BOTH sides of your Residence Card or Alien Registration Card
* Students applying to change their residence status or renew their period of stay should submit a copy of the certificate of receipt of application ("申請受付票" ) received from the Immigration Bureau.
*Please make a clear copy!
Who:
1. Students who have NOT yet submitted a copy of their Residence Card to the International Center in April, 2016.
2. Students who were in the process of renewing their period of stay or changing their status of residence when they applied for the "Spring 2016 University-Recommended Scholarships and Tuition Reduction" and have received a new Residence Card or results of that application.

The International Center.
*As a rule, the copy should be submitted to the International Center on your campus (Suzaku Campus students should turn in their copy to the Professional Schools Administrative Office), however, you are permitted to submit your copy to any of the campuses' International Centers.
Submission Deadline: Friday, May 6th 2016, no later than 5:00 p.m.
Students who are unable to submit their copies to the International Center by Friday, May 6, 2016, must contact the appropriate Center in advance.
