A high-resolution DEM had to be produced, since there was not any other DEM available for this island, particularly with such a high resolution of 2 m. Like for the other map elements (see Section 4.2.1.1), a large number of various topographic data (contour lines, elevation points and drainage network) from topographic maps 1:5000 of the area was compiled as input data for the DEM generation.
