RESULTS
To determine the effects of treatment
on the self-concept ofthe subjects, the following
hypothesis was tested at .05 level
of significances.
HOj There will be no significant
difference in the self-concept of adolescent
students in the various
treatment groups at post-test.
The data displayed on table 1, reveal
that the mean score for peer counselling (M
= 164.71) is significantly higher than that
of the control group (M - 132.82). This
indicates a significant difference in the selfconcept
of adolescent students who
participated in the various treatment programmes.
Further analysis was carried out
to determine if the mean score for the peercounselling
group was significantly higher
than that of the control group
