The composition of the test diets are presented in Tables 1 and 2. Analyzed P, Ca and phytate P contents of test ingredients, along with assumed contents used in formulations, are summarized in Table 3.
The analyzed P concentrations of most diets were in close agreement with calculated values. Dietary concentrations of P and Ca increased with increasing inclusion levels of each ingredient. Phytase activity in wheat and corn-DDGS were determined to be 421 and 666 U/kg, respectively.
