A score
of 3 was given for responses that adequately addressed the core ideas of the question, including, but not limited to, definitions, reasons, and examples. If a response did not fit the 0 or 3 point score, a judgment was made as to whether it qualifiedasa1or2pointscore(taking in to account what and how much was missing from the response). The researchers organized and sorted the data collected through the follow-up interviews, following three repeating steps (reading/memoing, describing, and classifying) for analyzing the data (Gay et al., 2006) to identify/verify some of the study findings that emerged from the study survey and the questionnaire.
