Researcher: the best way of learning in maths lessons?
(Italicized comments refer to Steven, their usual teacher)
Pupil: Doing it off the out [be]cause when you do it from the books she [the student teacher just speaks and gets annoyed.
Pupil: you get to speak in front of the whole class explaining why you think it's this and like everyone sharing their own methods, instead of the teacher we've got right now is a trainee and she says we can only use this method. She only gives them. Otherwise we can all share our own methods and I think it would be more easier.
Pupil: Sometimes we ask her like for help tells us what she thinks I said and then walks away and then helps like five other people before she comes back.
Pupil: some expert teacher, that's what we need.
Researcher : So you learn best when you feel you're being taught by someone who’s got very good knowledge.?
Pupil: Yeah.
Pupil: Like Mr. Blake Steven]
Pupil: Yeah, everyone learns a lot.
Pupil Yeah, it's a bit funny. Sometimes we're naughty like when some children choose to be but I think we learn better when we know someone's actually will actually listen to you.
Pupil: He can handle the class well.
Pupil: If people play up he will deal with them.
