the Wii outsold the PS3 and Xbox 360 for every month except one. The PS3 and Xbox 360 were very similar in capabilities and performance. They both had media streaming capabilities, internet access, and online gameplay. The Xbox was HD-DVD capable but the PS3 was Blue-Ray capable. Despite all of these technological advancements, Nintendo’s Wii came out as the evident winner as it was advertised as the more user-friendly game console that was meant for more than just gamers, it was enjoyed by anyone ranging from a young kid, to a retired adult. This intense rivalry is the biggest and more important competitive force in the video game industry as it pushes each of the companies to be better than the other.
