The amended interim charter has been endorsed by His Majesty the King and has taken immediate effect after being published in the Royal Gazette.
The royal endorsement of the amended interim version was announced in the Royal Gazette on Wednesday. It said the amended interim charter was immediately enforced.
A key issue in the change is a referendum on the new constitution which was approved by the National Reform Council. The referendum will be organised by the Election Commission.
The Constitution Drafting Committee is putting the final touches to the full version of the draft constitution before forwarding it to the NRC.
