+Loopita Loop Yes, he did. The suicide rate among GLBT teens is very high here in the US. It is getting less as society accepts our children as they are. Not all do it over romantic love. Some are teased, rejected by their families, or think they are alone and the only ones who feel the way they do. It broke my heart to see Win take Per words he sung to heart. We do not know if Per really meant them or he is just angry for whatever reason. We just don't know yet. But it was tough to watch and maybe it should be. Maybe the writers are trying to make us think about issues that happen in real life to gay children. I don't know.

+Don Humphress That is all fine, but if Thai writers want to reflect reality - they could have one of the couples have a happy, stable and loving relationship. I think the Win-Per storyline is well done and I really like the Earn and Pete one as well. I cannot stand the two main characters and the 'will they-won't they.' Noh is so upset that Phun doesn't return his feelings, yet all Noh does is stay in the closet and lead on that girl Aim. I know the writers aren't doing it on purpose but they make Noh an asshole. He gets upset that Earn expresses interest in Phun - well then get off your ass Noh and YOU make a move. They wouldn't make a good couple, they are both dishonest and terrible at communicating. At least the other couples have real obstacles as to why they are not together (such as realizing gay/bi-ness or a parental/friend conflict, or caught in love triangle).

Earn makes a move on Noh, not on Phun. It helps to have read the novel at this point. Because you know Noh thoughts and feelings. Yes, their insecurities about themselves and each other plays out rather slowly. Not everyone goes running and screaming out of the closet. Neither may not be gay. They just happen to love each other deeply and may never feel that for another boy. At least that is how it is in the novel. Phun is much more open about what is going on than Noh. But he knows Noh loves him. Noh gives Phun, and us, little glimpses into how he feels. Sometimes with words, but more likely with actions or a look. And as they go along and grow closer than hit a minor snag or two but never lose sight of their deep love for each other and will slowly become more comfortable. I know many gay people like Noh. They know how they feel but are afraid to express it until they have the courage and are ready to do so. So I can definitely can understand how you may feel. On the outside Noh is this tough all boy smartass. But inside is this sensitive person who occasionally gets to show itself to us and to Phun. In the novel it is far more obvious as we can read Noh's thoughts. Some of those scenes from the novel have been cut or not use in the series for whatever reason. So I can see where you might think Noh is a jerk. But it represents his struggle to accept himself and allow himself to let go and enjoy the love that he and Phun share.

We may see all the couples have a happy ending. Who knows. We know of only one "ending" in the novel so who knows what will happen with the rest.
