We are thankful to have partnerships with cultural heritage institutions that have yielded a substantial amount of original material for us to work with; these relationships have been cultivated as an earlier part of the digitization process. Our newest challenges lie in building workflows that leverage the skills of faculty, staff and students in an effective way, especially in times when resources are tight. A need for more staff is perhaps the most common complaint of digitization practitioners, and has recently been recorded in the results from UNLV’s library digitization survey report as the greatest challenge of its survey participants (Lampert & Vaughan, 2009)
