It is clear, however, that non-chromatographic methods of elemental speciation analysis offer a cheaper, simpler and, in general, more sensitive alternative than the use of chromatographic systems [21] and, because of that in a previous study, the determination of inorganic As species in beer samples was carried out by hydride generation (HG)-AFS based on the different analytical sensitivity obtained for As(III) and As(V) in the absence of a reductant like KI and the possibility of determination of total As after reduction [22].
