In Fig. 5, the TBA values for the different treatment groups during refrigerated storage are presented.
The initial TBA values ranged from 0.51 ± 0.11 to 0.66 ± 0.12 mg MDA/kg of fish. TBA values of the controls (C and AC) and coated samples (Ch and Nch) increased with storage time.
However, on days 9 and 12, Ch and Nch coated samples had significantly lower TBA values than the controls (P < 0.05), while there was no significant difference between Ch and Nch groups
