Oil from the steering charge pump flows to the pilot and steering charge manifold (1), which is mounted to the implement hydraulic tank (2).
The accumulator (3) mounted on the right side of the manifold maintains steering pump charge and brake system oil pressure. When engine speed is low during a steering operation, the steering charge pressure may decrease due to low steering charge pump oil flow. The accumulator helps maintain the steering charge circuit pressure to prevent the brakes from being inadvertently engaged.
Mounted on the pilot and steering charge manifold are the:
Charge and hydraulic oil filter (4)
Filter bypass switch (5)
Charge pump discharge pressure test and S•O•S port (6)
