Good morning, today I will do the oral defense of the research project. The topic that I chose to do it was Art Therapy with children because I have always wanted to study child psychology; moreover, I think that psychology has a similarity with it. In addition, this therapy is very practical and I think you learn more that way.
When I knew what’s art therapy, I proposed my main goals, which were to know the different trends in Art Therapy and applications, know how can be a therapy session and analyze the therapeutic effects.
To carry on this work I structured it in two parts, the theory and the practice, and the corresponding sections. First, I looked information about Art Therapy, defined as the form of expressive therapy that uses the creative process of making art to improve a person's physical, mental and emotional well-being, and know their predominant characteristics, later I entered in Art Therapy with children. On another hand, the interviews with art therapists I saw the different currents that art therapy can have and that each of these art therapists can develop it differently.
The art therapists that I interviewed in person were: Alicia Exposito Clara Aulina Irma Zapponi and Rosario Sanchez. In contrast, Miquel Izuel, Montse Barros and Anna Carlota I sent a questionnaire to respond to me for internet.
I did three art therapy inspiration sessions with five children of CEIP Llagut, in Sant Pere Pescador
The children were Judith, who reflected that the sessions liked her, Bilal who looked very employee, Paula who is very dependent of Judith and sometimes we had to separate them, Tino worked independently and, finally, Ona was very participatory. These sessions followed a general idea: the school. The structure of these was very simple, first I exposed what I wanted to do, after I mentioned an example to understand it better and finally, when they had finished productions, they commented on these. I would like to show a photograph of each session.
This picture is the first session. They drew the outside and inside of the school from their view. In this photo appear Bilal, Tino and me.

And finally, this is the third session. They made a doll with recycled materials. I like this photo because Judith transmitted me confidence.
In short, some conclusions are:
• Art can help unlock hidden emotions and feelings.
• The artwork is resource, but not the most important. What really matters is what happens during the process of creation, which can then produce the therapeutic effect.
I must say that I loved the sessions with children; I think they are the ones who best expressed without much knowledge of the world. Leaving aside the content of the work, doing the project, I learned a lot, because I have had a good teacher. Also, I think I have had very lucky to find a lot of help to do this project.
Self-evaluation
In my opinion I think that I did it very well because I wasn't nervous, besides, I have a great interest about this topic. As far as I am concerned, I opine that I was sure of my oral presentation because I already had done. However, I have to admit that it costed me to begin.
Give your objectives (purpose, aim, goals)
The main purpose of an informative speech is to have the audience understand and remember a certain amount of information. You should thus have two purposes: a general purpose and a specific one. The former is to inform: to give an overview, to present, to summarize, to outline; to discuss the current situation or to explain how to do something or how something is done. The latter is what you want the audience to take away with them after listening to you, what you want them to do, what they should remember.
My purpose in doing this paper is to give you a solid background on the subject of oral presentation so that in the future, at the INT or elsewhere you can deliver a successful speech in front of a group.
