Last April, I presented the mid—term objectives and strategies in which we defined SATO's new business direction. While continuing to contribute towards a sustainable world through ceaseless creativity, we will strive to achieve the vision of becoming the world‘s No. 1 Auto-ID company with the addition of the new value domains, Peace of Mind & Ecology. 2012 was the first year this mid-term plan was put into Practice, and although not everything went as well as planned, I think that this marks a significant step forward in the company‘s endeavors to take on new challenges and progress.
