Another option is to use emergency stop button 8 to stop the machine, but taking into account that the machine will require a reset by pressing reset button 7 to enable it to return to operation.
The machine should never be stopped by lifting protector 056400 because it is only a safety feature and, in this case, the time taken to lift the protector could be less than the actual locking time and effective stopping of the cutting unit allowable by the regulations.
However, in the event that the machine is unintentionally stopped by lifting protector 056400 instead of using stop button 5, it would be considered as an emergency stop and the protector would need to be lowered again and then the machine reset to enable it to be restarted.
Frequently check the remaining amount of meat to be minced in the hopper before starting a new loading operation, as mentioned in Section 10.7, before the hopper is completely empty. In any event, it is not advisable for the Grinder to operate when dry or without being loaded with meat as the cutting and mincing elements could become overheated and damaged.
If the hopper is loaded with excessively large pieces of meat, the feed screw could become blocked and the transmission system damaged. To avoid these problems, only pre-chopped or guillotined meat should be loaded, especially if it is frozen, as indicated in Section 9.2.
Under no circumstances should a pushing tool be used in the mouth of the hopper to help the feed screw to handle inappropriately large pieces of meat, as this could be dangerous for the operator or block the machine. The design and power of the screw is sufficient to fulfil its function of automatic feeding if the product to be minced is of a correct size.
