Thai national costume
Thai Chakkri
Thai Chakkri is a formal and elegant wear. The pasin is in the same style as the Thai Borompiman costume with front organ pleats, it is belted at the waist. The top is really a bodice covering one shoulder, the other end is almost floor-length. Although the Thai Chakri is exquisite many gentell ladies discovered that not many royaldecorations could be worn on this shoulder less top .
Thai Dusit
The Thai Dusit consequently evolved. With this new style, no less elegant than the Thai Chakri, the brightly colored sash of the highest decoration could be draped over one shoulder at formal evening functions. The low-cut, sleeveless blouse is embroidered with glittering sequins and the pasin has front organ pleats which are held in place by an elaborate gold or silver belt.
