In this paper, we have developed a 24-GHz switch-antenna
array FMCW radar system composed of a single transmitter, a
single transmitting antenna, four receiving antennas, an SP4T
switch, and a single receiving channel. We have experimentally
evaluated the performance of the developed radar system
using beamforming algorithms, i.e., the high-resolution Capon
beamformer and the robust Huber beamformer, proposed for
the switch system. It has been seen that experiment results
agree well with the simulation results and demonstrate the
good efficiency of the developed radar system in terms of the
estimation accuracy and robustness.
