Participants rated their level of agreement to each item on a 7-point Likert scale ranging from 1(strongly disagree) to 7 (strongly
agree). Total scores for each of the three subscales were summed
where scores ranged from 7 to 35.Higherscoresindicatedmore
favourable attitudes towards cosmetic surgery. Henderson-King
and Henderson-King(2005) reported high internal consistency for
each of the subscales (all ˛= .88).Reliabilities for the present sample were a little higher :Intrapersonal (˛= .94),Social(˛= .89),and Consider (˛= .90).
