Dear Ms. Khamonwan,
Echo rejected 2,618pcs of E-type Fan Cover. This quantity is all stock in Echo.
MBI contacted Echo immediately to check why they rejected all stocks. QC engineer explained as bellow;
- He measured stocked E-type FC by CMM.
- Neck hole size is O.K. But position of Bolt hole was out of DWG size by 0.2mm.
MBI staff negotiated Echo as bellow;
- Most of No rework item can be set with JIG and can do machining.
Echo’s comment is as bellow;
- Echo doesn’t use part which is out of specification.
- If they manage to use out of specification part, Jig shall gets damage and operators also get trouble and extra time.
Echo doesn’t want to use parts which have some problem but can be used like before. We suppose that they became strict about quality issue because of many problems since last year.
In this case, other lots on the way to Echo are also same size and will be rejected. Echo runs out stock immediately and production line will be stopped.
Please measure position of bolt hole and size of neck inside immediately. MBI also requests Echo to give us their measuring data.
Then, please investigate why position of bolt holes are out of tolerance at present.
We need measuring data today.
