Luang Phor Kasem was born in 28 November 1912 (BE 2455). He was the descendants of Lampang's King from Lanna Period. He became a novice monk in 1925 and ordained as a monk at Wat Bunyeun at the age of 21 years old in 1933, given name's was Khemako Pikkhu. A monk exceptionally dedicated to Vipassana Kammatthana (Buddhist insight meditation). Through the principle of contentment and mental control over the body, he attained the final stage of meditation while seated in front of the funeral pyre. He has liberated himself from defilements and he is full of loving kindness.
He passed away on 15 Jan 1996 (BE2539) at his age of 84.
