Writing and Creative Work
'Just as the habit of regular reading is one that should be carefully fostered, so is the habit of regular writing'. Like reading, it should be an expected accompaniment to a course. Problems often arise because written work is regarded in too formal and unimaginative a manner. It is better to view written work as only one of many kinds of individual student activity designed to give an opportunity for learning and creativity not possible in the classroom, and the following points should be read with that in mind.
