The physical properties of films based on starch are dependent
of the botanical source of the starch, starch concentration and type
of plasticizer. The mechanical properties of the film can be modified
by the chain length of the surfactant's hydrophobic tail and the
stirring during film forming solution. FTIR and SEM could be used in
a future work to study molecular interactions, the surface of the
film and complex structures formed during the stirring of the
solutions
