The problem is most players dont have queue friends like micke, ownedme, haxx and so on, that you usually queue with, so while you get easy mmr up to the highest bracket, and naturally you dont have to struggle much in those 1800-1900 games cause you have one or 2 pro players with you, the rest of the skilled players are stuck between 1800 and 1900. So you saying that you cant improve cause of the high mmr disparity(skill difference is not same as mmr difference cause of the reasons mentioned) is just bullshit. Yes I agree sometimes mm system can be retarded and put 250 mmr lower player in games, but keeping in mind that your mmr is not soloq and it is "boosted" by other pro players leads me to believe that there is actually little to no difference between your 2030 mmr account and someone with 1900 who has to soloq or queue with his friends who dont have mindset and gamesense of a competitive player. If you care so much about getting better you can always make an inhouse league with proes+pubs that are actually good(i am sure thats something community would like to watch), and there is a lot of great players with great potential in the +1800 bracket. To conclude, I agree with every other reason you gave us, hon is just dying in NA/EU region for quite some time now. But using superlatives like "huge" to describe hon in thailand is bold, hon in thailand might be huge compared to hon in NA/EU, but compared to other games in genre it is still small. I wish you best of luck in Thailand adventure and I hope it exceeds your expectations. Taking chances is something that we have to do if we want to grow, If you only follow a safe path you will miss the greatness in the unknown.
