The idea of combining and selecting the best method of teaching EFL actually has also been suggested by Murcia (2001) that teachers should be able to select properly or even combine selectively among the recent four methods such as cognitive approach (language is rule-governed cognitive behavior), affective-humanistic approach (learning a foreign language is a process of self-realization and of relating to other people), comprehension approach (language acquisition occurs if and only if the learner comprehends meaningful input), and communicative approach (the purpose of language is communication).
