From the design perspective, the important point is to make affordances visible. A possibility to act that one cannot see is not a good possibility to act. To stress the visibility feature, we will use the terms, affordances and affordances. Both terms refer to physical as well as culturally dependent possibilities, but while affordances denote possibilities that the perceiver is not aware of, affordances denote visible ones.
