Articles 34 & 35 provide for compensation for damages to victims. This is much needed by the victims as after their ordeals and rescue they often face the added injustice that they are unpaid for the work they have been forced to do as their employer has been arrested before they received their pay. Article 37 allows they victim to work while they remain temporarily in Thailand pending the criminal case or claim for compensation; again this clause in the law, which would bring tangible financial benefits to victims is often largely ignored.
