Taken together, the protective efficacy of NAM at a low ขนาดยา (30 mg/kg) observed in the first study (Example 1) was confirmed, and the combination of a clearly suboptimal ขนาดยา of 5-ASA (75 mg/kg) with different ขนาดยา of NAM led to a highly significant, even dramatic, synergistic improvementover all relevant baselines. s NAM was inverse, the observed synergy is not due to additiveขนาดยา effects, but a surpris• ing synergy in the most significant sense.
