The big advantage for consumers is that they can save money as well as energy, because they will be able to carry out data analysis for themselves. They will be able to change their level of energy consumption. On a consumer level, money saving is an individual matter. For large companies with multiple air conditioners, the savings could be significant.
Meyer pointed out that energy saving is only one part of the process. Multiple appliances could be connected to the internet, which can then be managed remotely. The system works with the Android-based Saijo-Denki Intelligent Invertor mobile app, and there will be different ways of connecting the data.
Meyer noted that currently the data will be aggregated at the Saijo-Denki data centre, driving cost-saving for customers. "We are really at the start of the new revolution,"
he said. "What you will see is battery life increasing. Machines will last longer. The ubiquity of mobile connection is growing, and that is combined with better software analytics."
