Sequencing batch biofilter granular reactor (SBBGR) could
represent a promising solution for on-site treatment of textile
wastewater. Experiments carried out using this type of reactor
(consisting of a submerged biofilter that operates in batch mode)
for the treatment of municipal, tannery and leachate wastewaters
have revealed several points of strength that make SBBGR suitable
for textile wastewater treatment at each factory (Di Iaconi et al.,
2007; Di Iaconi et al., 2010).
