57. The economic price of kerosene is obtained by taking ex refinery price plus transport costs of B1.515/liter and B0.919/liter at border prices (multiplication by SCF 0.92). The replacement value derived from kerosene is obtained, allowing for the assumption that a kerosene lamp is assumed to consume 0.025 liter/hour which is equivalent to energy from a 40 watt bulb (See Table 12):
Financial value of kerosene: ($0.407 x 0.025)/0.04 kWh = $0.25/kWh
