What is stress? According to our text it is a psychological and physiological state of disruption cause by the presence of an unanticipated, disruptive, or stimulating event (Hahn, 52). Stress to me is upcoming graduation, dealing with relationships, and even entering the real world soon. Stress is a significant part of everyone’s life and it occurs almost daily. Seems like you can’t escape it. Many people might think of stress as just a bad thing, but surprisingly there is also such thing as good stress. I would have never believed it until I read about it myself. For this exercise I chose, oddly enough, to watch people at a casino and observed how they dealt with stress.
