ITALIAN RECORDS AND RESEARCH
Over the course of the next 15 to 20 years, FamilySearch will be working with the Italian government to acquire the rights to access and index more than 250 million additional records, which contain more than 1 billion names. These records will be added to FamilySearch through the FamilySearch indexing program. Searching these records is free to FamilySearch users. Research tools and instructional videos are also available to help you learn how to use these records to find your ancestors.
