Duties and responsibilities :-
The role demands a hands on approach to planning, monitoring and managing a specialised garment production line using the PDCA approach on daily basis, to ensure that we deliver the customer’s orders on-time and that we always manufacture according to customers’ specifications.
The Line Supervisor has overall responsibility for the daily monitoring of the production line operations by planning and reviewing the current daily output of each department against the production plan and then taking the appropriate corrective action.
Key Objectives
1.On-time delivery of quality wetsuits and accessories – minimum 95% of confirmed ex-factory dates.
2.To manufacture a high quality product by ensuring that all production is made in accordance with the customer specifications (warranty claims less than 0.1% of sales)
3.Achievement of the current minimum 65% factory efficiency target whilst maintaining current quality standards (set by QC department)
4.All staff must achieve at least the minimum 50% individual efficiency
5.Improve factory planning and line balancing
6.Provide accurate and up to date daily production status report
7.Retention and continued development of skilled staff.
8.Continuous improvement in all processes and production systems that impact on-time delivery, quality and efficiency - through the implementation of a culture of team work and improved planning and skills improvement.
