After the death of the third king, the daughter of the fourth king read Sunthorn Phu’s poetry. She especially liked the poem, “Phra Aphai Mani.” She asked her father, the king, to have to poet come back to the palace. She promoted the poetry of Sunthorn Phu. The poet’s fame and popularity rose returned again. He remained famous and popular until he died. Sunthorn Phu’s poetry has been honored by UNESCO, and he is considered to be the Shakespeare of Thailand.
