A registered employee (outside operator) after finishing the commissioning activities on 22nd of October, around 11 pm, was asked by the supervisor to put a flexible hose inside vessel V1030 of the fire barrier Y1032 (see picture here attached). The purpose of this task (during commissioning) was to empty the vessel and the fire barrier of HP3 to the temporary plastic tanks of CCC. The operator had to lift the top man way of the vessel and the grid underneath. He was removing the grid (apx 10 Kg) using his two hands and his fingers where placed inside the mesh. While he was placing the grid on the floor he placed the grid in vertical position and lost control of the grid, twisting his left middle hand finger. The employee was using PPE. As a junior outside operator he was doing the job and being supervised by his supervisor and other outside operator. The victim did feel pain only 3-4 hours and the finger started to be swell. The victim informed his supersivor and he went to the Sadara First Aid Station escorted by the the DCS Operator. He went to Sadara First Aid Station at 4.20 with a mild swelling. He was recommend to go to Almana Hospital to perform a X-Ray. He was escorted by the DCS Operator. The victim had a finger dislocation and it was pulled back to normal position by the doctor and the doctor did not consider it as necessary to be on sick leave.The employee has agreed to perform adapted work until new reassessment was done.
