3. Results and discussion 3.1. General observations Each of the representative strains was transferred twice on each vegetable based tryptic soy medium to determine how colony size and morphology as well as color and pigment production for each strain qualitatively compared with growth on traditional TSA. verall, the representative strains grew well on the vegetable-based media and several strains (E. coli ATCC 25922, s cerevisiae ATCC 26932, E faecalis ATCC 29212) showed more luxuriant growth relative to growth on TSA. Slightly reduced growth of S pyogenes ATCC 19615 was noted on both vegetable-based media and tryptic soy relative to media
